Is there any way to fix it? I ordered a new one ($27.00 including shipping icon_surprised.gif ) but it seems so silly to throw this one away.

I didn't realize I had the paddle attachment in the bowl and turned on the whisk, and that's how it got bent. Surprisingly it's not to badly bent though. I tried playing with it and it still hits the side.

That's a hard one. Any chance you can bend it back into place using a heavy tool or something?? I'm not too sure about that but I would imagine that since it's not too badly bent that there must be some way of putting back to normal. Sorry I wasn't too helpful

Ouch! I don't know if I buy your story about how it happened though, hhmn, are you sure you weren't beating up some customer with it, haha?
Actually, I was lucky, I didn't realize hubby had put the paddle on wrong and started up the machine and it really got some paint scraped off, but fortunately at the top, not where it has contact with icing. Could have shot myself for not checking first! But you know, these things happen and at least with the Kitchen Aid, they can be replaced!

Thanks guys.

I did try bending it and neither myself or my boyfriend (the guy can fix anything) could get it to work. I was just hoping for a miracle I guess. Thirty bucks is like, a new pair of shoes. icon_razz.gif

I know, so does that mean you will be barefoot in the kitchen? Not funny, I know, it is upsetting when accidents like this happen!

I am so sorry about your wisk,, Do you have any outlet stores in your area by chance? there are usually kitchen stores there and they Usually have refurbished Kitchen Aids and all of the Parts too and at a Much lower price. there is also the KA site that has the same thing or is that where your ordering from. look at this site, its 18.99 www.kitchencollection.com
just look under Kitchen Aid down the list. & on the page it brings up its close to the bottom.
Good Luck!
