Dear all,

 

good day to you! im new here.

 

i made a sponge cake, and with a spoon i spreaded some pineapple juice on the 3 layers of cake i had. then i layered it with chocolate icing and pineapple pieces.
finally covered it with whipped cream and then on top and around the cake i used crushed almond praline.  

for the top of the cake i pored some suger syrup again, to make it extra yummy but now the syrup is coming out of the cake and its all over the cake board. im scared to cut the cake thinking that it will be a total disaster. 

can someone please tell me how i could make the cake a bit dry at this point? i have kept it in the fridge for 2 days and nights. so far no luck. 

please help. i need to serve the cake late eve, today :) many thanks!
