LOL...well, I do like to throw a $20 word around now and then but I didn't think 'passel' was one of them!  Thanks.....(icon_biggrin.gifI think)

I was just reminded that my husband had "apple cider vinegar" on his list, and I'll bet you'll never guess what he brought me icon_rolleyes.gif Yeah right! OF COUSE it was a gallon of white vinegar, and a gallon of apple cider!

@Carmljok, the cake is so cute.

@Annabakescakes, of course he did.  My dad does that all the time.  They DH, DD and now nephew are all starting to tell me the classic line "They didn't have any"  rofl... So I've started telling them, go to another store or come and make fondant roses.   That helps.  icon_lol.gif

That happened to me once, some 30-odd-years ago, when I was coughing, and still half-asleep. Accidentally gave myself a triple dose of Robitussin DM. Thanks in part to that experience, I can't imagine why anybody would want to get high.

"they didn't have any" is a classic line as well, lol! He has actually started taking pictures of the empty shelves, since I always give him the head tilt "yeah right, you're just blind or looking in the wrong spot" look, haha.

(and no special cake!)

I've never been to a wedding shower.....brides over here tend to have bigger hen parties/weekends nowadays though.

Who knows; next one I might take a cake  icon_biggrin.gif

I have a piece of paper stuck to a length of tape that I put over the ON button of the oven that simply says................. "NO".

I actually have him trained to open the oven door and look inside just to make sure.

I sware we are all from the same family with these men.  Thanks all, guess I can't stay mad at them too long seeing that I'm not the only one going thru these.  It has actually helped me today.  icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I was baking at my cousins house and we sent her husband to the store to get cocoa powder, he came back with instant cocoa mix.

One time I was making a large batch of royal icing and my boyfriend was "helping" he used 1 cup of almond extract instead of 1 cap! I couldn't get rid of that almond smell for days! If you took the lid of the bowl you'd smell almond clear across the next room! Whew! It was potent!

The worst I have had to deal with was a few weeks ago when hubby thought he was helping by putting the eggs and butter back in the fridge.  He thought I had left them out by mistake. Only had to wait another hour to bring them back to room temp.

Ugh, I feel you on the nasty cough medicine high. DH actually got me high off of it one day when I was miserably sick, and he read tsp as Tbs! That is a nasty high! I also had a real nasty high last night on Lortab, but that was dosed high, since I had a root canal. I will be taking half a pill today!

My husband does that too. I have set my eggs in warm water, and nuked my butter on 30% power, so I can just work!

He will also clean up mid baking, and then I can't find anything. I use a the same bowl for eggs, a bowl for butter, a bowl for milk, a bowl for oil, a wet tsp, a dry tsp, and a tbs, since I often make up to 8 batches or so of cake batter, and he has snatched all up and threw it in the sink! Even my batter bowl! I mix from light to dark, or mild to strong, so i don't have to wash the bowl each time. So I had double the dirty dishes that day! Guess who rinsed and sanitized icon_smile.gif
