AHi

I made a Minnie mouse cake topper it got dried and is showing cracks .. I used satin ice fondant the ready made fondant .. How do I prevent it from cracking .. I need to use it on Saturday .. I made it yesterday should I re do it .. Or should I use marzipan

AI did read somewhere that using too much icing sugar whilst rolling or not working quickly enough can cause that problem. But I'm just guessing.

I don't know how well this works but might be worth test.  Water makes fondant breakdown so Maybe putting a few daps on the cracks and gently blend might hide them.  My bows do it all the time.

 

If anyone has a solution would love to know myself

I smooth my fondant imperfections with shortening.  I use my finger with shortening and rub where I have the problem until I smooth it out.
