Hello!
Last week I made 45 Philadelphia LOVE cookies for a bridal shower. http://www.stopandsmelltheflour.com/
Unfortunately I've been having carpal tunnel pain ever since.
Does anyone have experience with dipping sugar cookies into royal icing? I am looking for ways to reduce repetitive injury from the piping, and thought if I could do the backgrounds with a dip it might be a better option.
Just wondering if anyone could give me some insight.
Thanks!
I have done them both ways. By outlining them then filling in with thinned royal icing. Or by pouring thinned royal icing over them while on cooling racks. I do not dip each cookie as I have found it contaminates the icing with crumbs. Also, I find if my icing did not cover well, I let dry and then cover them again. But, the most preferred way is to pipe and fill.
