Fondant topped cupcakes!

Hello everyone, I'm totally new to this sight, what a great place!!!! I've had a little look around😊
My question is, if I want to bake cupcakes that I will top with rolled fondant, should they be flat or domed??????
I'd appreciate any advice, as I'm new to the baking thing (loving it though)!

I've done them both ways, so it depends on what look you are going for. If you want the domed look but your baked cupcakes don't have domes, you can create them with dollops of icing and cover that with fondant.

Which would you say is the easiest to cover, domed or flat? (Bearing in mind I am a beginner lol)😊

Flat iced fondant cupcakes are so much easier but I prefer the look of high domed cupcakes, I start with a flat cupcake fill with conserve and then ice over buttercream. x
