Last month I shipped a hand painted purse and high heeled shoe from Arizona to New Jersey for my friend's birthday. It wasn't necessary to freeze it. I put it in a hard plastic box, then into a cardboard box. I stuffed all the plastic grocery bags I had between the two boxes (they fit better than bubble wrap). The PO employee said they would put the package in a special cage and hang it up so it would not get slammed or turned upside down. The PO guaranteed delivery within 24 hours. It arrived on time, in pristine condition. It wasn't cheap, but was the least expensive option I could find. Good luck.

I thank you for sharing this information. I need to ship from Florida to Bahamas...so nervous never did this before. It's a "very" small wedding party (many cannot attend) which is grrrrreat that I can make it small. Thanks again CArrie789!
