Idea For A 60Th Anniversary Cake Design That Has To Travel 1000 Miles

AI need a 60th wedding anniversary design I can make ahead out of fondant/modeling chocolate that when I get to my destination I can simply set on top of a premade 1/4 sheet cake from a local grocery store. I'll be traveling for 3 days, fitting a wedding in between, so I won't have refrigeration for the decoration. My parents have farmed for 60 years and are avid fans of all their grand children's sporting events. Just wondering if anyone has attempted to do this as well. I'm talking 4th of July weekend in South Dakota/Minnesota so it will be humid.
Thank you!
i think i would make flat decorations like soccer ball, basket ball, baseball bat, maybe little heads to represent the grandkids--you could cut out the lettering of h.a.p.p.y. 6.0.t.h. etc.
you could do the little pop out flower blossoms with a plunger and put pearls in the middle--make different sizes
then pack it all up in layers & layers of soft cushy paper toweling and foam or get is as secure as possible
then for the cake mount the flat items on popsicle sticks with melted white chocolate so you can stand everything up and have the depth
and affix everything on there and just slather it with the blossoms--the blossoms will just sit up there pretty if you set each one a little blob of icing
i've traveled with cake stuff and if you have all this going on -- i would go this nice safe secure non-fussy route
and of course make sure everything is all nice & crispy dry before packing it up
Those are wonderful ideas, I love your suggestions. I never thought about propping them up to give depth!
with all your traveling and the wedding on the way--i think that would be most efficient--and those little blossoms are very efficient travelers too--you could pack them in soft layers in egg cartons
if you really wanted to get fancy--you could ombre the colors--go from larger darker to smaller lighter blossoms ;)
