AHello everyone.
Love this web sight . It's great chatting with other cupcakers out there . In the past I have owned a business. My question is , of I am just starting out do I have to carry liability insurance? I was going to ask my accountant but I would like to hear different people's stories as well. I am in Massachusetts . Eventually would like a small store front. Right now just doing birthdays and things like that . I deliver all my product to customer. Thanks for any advice you may have.
I'm in MA and I have not purchased liability yet. I will be doing so soon, but I am still seeing how much business I can handle and if it's worth it to make for the general public or just friends/family/community members. From what i gather, it's not too expensive. I feel like if I don't get it soon it might be too much of a gamble.
AGood luck norasmom. Hope everything works out for you. I think I may have to get insurance if I want to participate in any fairs and such.
AIf anyone wants to see my Facebook page for now it's - itstimeforacupcake.com. Web sight up soon. I also like seeing other web sights for cupcakes . It's nice to see everyone starting their own business. Please like my page , if you have a page let me know and I will head on over and like it. Happy cupcaking.
I think no matter what state you live in liability insurance in a must to protect you again claims of food poisoning or other such incidences. I don't think its very expensive but its definitely worth the money.
