I just found this thread, you're all very welcome! I'm glad that you fond the video useful. It's a really simple technique.

 

something that I didn't think to mention in the video is that when you're putting the flowers in place, they'll sometimes fit better if you turn them around backwards so that the back of the petal is facing out. It's not really noticeable once it's all put together, but every now and then it just fits together better to flip one around to get it into place.
