Could I do this in Buttercream instead? Tips?

A customer is interested in this cake, and at my job we do NOT use Fondant. Could I do this in buttercream and white chocolate, dyed? I am suppose to get with her tomorrow (4/2/13). I need any tips or suggestions. And of course if I can't do it in Buttercream, then I would have to turn down the order.

Thanks

I only do buttercream cakes so I probably won't be very helpful, I'm not sure if you can get the splashing affect on the cake unless you use a airbrush I very could be wrong.

Yes, you can. Ice the cake white, airbrush black, let dry, then do one color of chocolate at a time. If you use royal with the black airbrush, it may soak up and muddy the colors.

Thanks so much. I might have to try it tomorrow before I accept the order, lol I could sell it if it works.

It never hurts to test first! I wish I had that kind of discipline...
