Help! Stuck on ninja turtles!

Hello everyone!
I'll be making a batch of ninja turtle cake pops for a friends child's birthday this week and am stuck on what would be the best way to make the little masks - I'm trying to avoid fondant but it will be my last resort if I don't think of another way to make the mask - perhaps pipe royal icing? However I'm worried of how it will hold. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!! Thank you

I would use modeling chocolate. You can roll it out really thin and use piping tips to cut the holes. I know that might be what you are trying to avoid fondant for though. I hope someone else has suggestions for piping options!

frostedmoon covered it pretty well--pipe it or use the choco clay ;)

I was addicted to the Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around.

Maybe Fruit Roll Ups, they come in different colors... better than fondant IMO.icon_smile.gif
