this is in miniature i just made some (mini) sheet cake boxes to demo this
i buy full size sheet cake boxes with no windows
two pieces top & bottom but we are using them flat
so overlap them and tape them together
(using a handheld wide tape dispenser makes this a lot easier)
draw a square around how big you need the bottom of the box to be
by centering the cake board on the material
(in this case i used a foam cake)
but also extend the lines of the square all the way to the edges
score the lines with a yardstick
and fold the box over at all four of the scored lines--lay it flat again
four of the extended lines will be shorter--two on each side
cut those up to the square aka the bottom of the box
(where the cake will sit)
fold up one side of the whole taped up box material so the long side is standing up
and the short sides are folded to form the box you're creating
and tape the short sides up everywhere
leave the other side down so you can place the cake in there
then fold it up and tape away
if the sides in the end product are shorter than your creation you can add taller slats
made from other boxes or of foam core just to get it tall enough
to put plastic wrap over so it doesn't touch the cake
if by some chance you followed that and make a box for you cake
congratulations!
Thank You k8memphis, I knew you had it in you to make a demo, my brain was all twisted up trying to figure it out.lol
