Blossoms On Cake

Can any one tell how to make the flowers on this cake, Do you think they are fondant? And if they are Lily of the valleys , how do yoy make them head on? Thank you

they look like buttercream.  Piped like the Lily of the Valley flower.  But meant to look like blossoms on a tree.  You could probably make little fondant blossoms, that would work too.

yes that way that msgf said and also a teeny weeny blossom plunger would get you there too

like these but super tiny--and then of course these would be out of fondant

 

i got one umpteen years ago from somewhere...it's metal--got it before they even made them in plastic

I thought they looked like buttercream too, but when I blew up the pic some of them are scalloped. Thank you both for your input.
