AHi everybody!
So I know the method for gelatin butterflies but I need them to dry faster than in 6-8 hours which is what everybody say is the drying time. I've googled and googled but I can't find anything about a method to make them dry faster (maybe there isn't one). If there is than I knew you guys here would know!
I know for gumpaste stuff you can put them in the oven at a very low temp to help them dry faster - would this work?? Or a different ratio of gelatin/water? Hair dryer?
I know you will probably say just to give myself more time but I'm entering a cake in a decorating competition and I have to complete the cake in 8 hours - I really really want to do gelatin butterflies because they are just gorgeous - if not I will probably just do royal icing butterflies.
I welcome any help and/or suggestions!
Thank you!!!!
let's see--where is that gelatin book .... far end of the work table...
according to ms stidham and ms simmons and their lovely book gelatin in bloom
they dry in 3-6 hours and a slow fan can be used to hasten the time
are you doing the certification thing perhaps?
