Hi,

Is it possible to change the consistency of Sylvia Weinstock Buttercream recipe? How do I go about doing that? I plan to make half of the recipe and then use it for icing my cake and piping and decorations. Need to know how to get it to thin, medium or stiff consistency. Please help.

Thanks in advance.

i am not familiar with this recipe exactly

but in general for thin icing i use water and for thick icing i add cornstarch

some peeps thin with corn syrup

i wait for an air brush food color bottle with the up & down twisty lid to get empty--clean it out like crazy then put my water in there so i can squirt it in my icing and have good control
