Mud Cake Question

Good morning everyone! i baked my first chocolate mud cake yesterday for saturday, my question is will white chocolate ganache work and also can i torte it into 3 or 4 layers? Thank you !!!

and also can i torte it into 3 or 4 layers?  Yes you can......If your cake was baked to a height of 3 inches then i would tort it into 3 layers....giving you nice even slices between the layers of ganache...if you wish, certainly, you can tort it into 4 layers...it just depends what *look* you prefer - inch high layers or thinner.... either will look neat and tidy once cut.

Thank You so much! I will do the 3 layers as it is about 4inches high, the top tier is white cake with rasberry preserves and a light natural orange cream cheese buttercream. If all goes well I will post a picture when finished. Thank you again
