AHi all This may seem simple but I'm new to this.. My question is how go I stop my nail marking the paste or any tips how to smooth them out Thanks Jo

When working with fondant, you really should not have long nails unless you are an expert at not making any marks with them. You could (and should) wear latex gloves, that may help. I would smooth any marks with the pad of my fingers or a fondant smoother.

ANo nails ahhhhh :-) might try the glove option :-) I was making footie shirts to go on cupcakes. Thanx for your reply

I keep my nails short but, if the indentations aren't too deep, rubbing the area lightly with shortening will smooth it out.
