Has anyone made a rattlesnake cake and can give me some pointers?  I have to make one for a 6 year old little boy and have not made a snake cake.  I am a little lost right now.  Any help would be appreciated.

Yes i have :) ok step one the body i recomend the wilton horse shoe cake (I did not use that i had to cut out all the pieces i saw that idea after the fact) anyway you make however many "turns" you want with your horseshoe cake pan then trim as needed to put them together. You will need a BIG board. for the head use a 6in and cut the diamond shape out of it. if you dont have the horse shoe pan you can use any round or oval but its just more "cutting". Anyway find your snake color or design and i did the spots with a smooth tip and the main color with just a star tip. the board is covered with green grass (tip 233) and chocolate orec crushed cookies.
