Glittered Sugar Cookies - Page 2

I use sanding sugar, buy bulk plain "white" a you can tint it any colour you want by addin bits of gel colour. Disco dust is another way to get an amazing sparkle, but I don't use it on anything edible, more for gumpaste flowers. Flourconfections just came out with a version of disco dust that is edible but it looks like it resembles cake sprinkles(which are coloured flaked that can be crushed for some sparkle too) I find all of my decorations at michaels or online. I highly recommend checking out sweetopia.com and sweetsugarbelle.com. They are amazing cookie gurus and they help me with all questions related to cookies- sweetsugarbelle is my personal favorite! I did a test with Wilton's white sparkling sugar sprinkles (bought at Michael's) and I think I am going to go that route. Thanks to another Cake Central friend suggestion.  I used pale purple royal icing and sprinkled  the white sugar on top.  It works awesome not to not have an effect on the color you are using and gives a sparkle. The process is like using sanding sugar.

Thank you for your suggestion. :)
