I am having trouble getting a true black color for my colorflow icing project I am doing. I have used the wilton black gel paste (a lot of it) and the icing started to have a tint of purple. So I added green to offset that, which helped. But my icing still has a dark gray color instead of black. Any tips on how to get what I'm wanting?

Thanks

Start with chocolate or a dark brown first then tint up to black.

AColors tend to darken as they dry so depending on how dark gray it is, it might dry black. I wouldn't recommend adding chocolate to royal icing. It won't dry like you want it to.
