Ok, maybe I'm tired from having a sick son throwing up today, but I seriously did not think it would be this hard to make a topsy turvy cake. I followed the demo from the articles section. Last time I did one I didn't do it properly like the one in the article so that each cake is sitting straight and just the illusion...so this time I am trying to do it like the demo, but it is really difficult. Plus I ran out of icing....and can't leave the house to buy more. It's for Saturday so I will be fine, all back in freezer half done. Anyone know of any other website with step by step than the one from this site, I've done searches on internet but haven't found anything.

Oh well, maybe it just is a bit difficult to make...I'll stick it out..plus everything seems to look better when it's covered in fondant...that is if I get the crumb coating smooth....

Welcome to Cake Central! I have never made a topsy turvy cake, but I know there are a couple of different ways to do it. Maybe someone else on here can give you some pointers.

Good luck and be sure to post pics. I am sure you will do fine!!
