Hey every one!  I have been asked to make my first wedding cake for a March 30th wedding. I'm supper excited but nervous at the same time.  It's for a cake and punch reception.  The cake will be a 6", 8", 10", and 12" round that is slightly off set.  They are having red roses for their topper, red ribbon around the base of each cake (I was thinking satin unless there is a better suggestion) and edible pearls.  So it should be an "easy" cake to do for my first one.

Currently what I'm having a hard time figuring out is what size pearl to buy, and how many I will need, and where is the best place to buy them.  I found some 5MM at a local cake store but they looked a little to small.  But no one around here carries anything larger.  I want to purchase something that will be noticeable but not so big that they scream "hey look at me, I'm a big honken pearl over here", I'm going for classy and elegant not gaudy.  Oh, and the pearls will be in a random pattern.

I found this link http://cakecentral.com/g/i/2313486/a/2314482/red-roses-wedding-cake/ and liked how they looked so was hoping to have lots of suggestions/help.  I did email the lady who uploaded the photo but am covering my bases in case she isn't around to reply.  Especially since I probably needed to order these like yesterday.

Thanks In Advance!
