I'm supposedly making about 5 dozen dog bone shaped cookies for 2 reading classes at school tomorrow. I've done everything I know - chilled in fridge, chilled in freezer, chilled dough overnight, rolled on parchment, adjusted baking time...can't think of anything else to do. As they are now, I can't use them because they look like male genitalia rather than dog bones!!
Could it be the proportions of my cutters? I've done small, medium, and large - all are unusable. Straightened edges of cutters? I think I'll look up the recipe for "puppy chow" and have that to ake as backup unless one of you experts can help rescue these. They would definitely be a no no, especially for 5th graders!!!!!
Thanks.......
