AI have a giant cup cake pan but although I have many chocolate cake recipes , they are all too soft to hold up. I was thinking maybe a chocolate pound cake ( I like to use melted chocolate-not cocoa in my choc cake recipes for flavor). Does anyone have a good chocolate cake recipe that will hold in form once decorated?

AWell I've made it & I have to say its very rich & fudgy. My husband said he would love it warm with cream as a dessert. Not quite the cake I'm after but close if it wasn't so fudgy. Beautiful flavour. I used 1 espresso (30ml)to give an extra coffee kick & reduced the buttermilk by 30ml. Tastes great but not suitable for what I need. I think I need something a little more like a pound cake texture. Thanks for putting me on to that one in any case. Any other ideas?

AJoy of Baking has a good chocolate pound cake recipe. It does use cocoa.
