I'm doing my first carved cake, xbox 360 cake. Everything seems to be going wrong. I wrapped and freezed my chocolate cake and now it's very soft. I managed to somehow cut it according to the shape. How way through ganaching the cake, my ganache is over. 

The cake is due Friday evening. I'm almost done with the toppers; controller and a pot of gold. Still needs to make a small man figure and two DVD covers with edible prints + finish with the ganache and laying the fondant. 

I'm really stressed out. Almost everything in the cake is new to me, carving, irregular shape and the filling. I also used RKT for the first time to make the controller and the pot of gold. 

I'm too nervous with this cake, I can finish this on time but I want this to look good. I'm really stressed!

Awe.....I feel your pain. You just got to step away from it for a bit...Take a long hot bath, if you drink, have one! Clear your mind and calm down. If you continue to work when you're stressed, you're going to make more mistakes...but just remember...it's food...it will NEVER be perfect
