I have an order for a cake based loosely on this design (which I absolutely love as is!) but they want to incorporate their colour scheme - grey, dusty rose and dusty blue (for their 90 year old mom). I will be using the 1M swirl to make rosettes on the bottom tier rather than the fondant frills. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for how to incorporate these colours onto this cake? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions - I'm rather stumped!

Are you using the piano keys design?

Is that bling between the piano keys and the black on top?
I don't think you can lose the black without ruining the design. Could you use grey piping between the black and the keys, and maybe cover the board in grey? Then you could do the lower piping in the blue and the rose in the rose.

I'm sorry I haven't thanked you for your help cakeyouverymuch! I have been back and forth with my client and we have decided to abandon this design in favour of another. I'm still having troubles merging the three colours so I have started another thread with a different picture!
By the way...I didn't notice that we're neighbours until now!!

I grew up here in S MB. We don't have near as much snow as I got used to in Quebec City, but I'd forgotten how cold it gets here. I'm really happy to be near my brothers and sister since Mom passed in Aug 2011. We finally got the house sold and moved here on 23 Dec 2011. Hubby's loving the rural life. He keeps talking about getting a horse, but I'm thinking three big dogs are enough. If he wants to give up truck driving to stay home and shovel the 'you know' I'll consider a horse, but growing up rural I can honestly say I've been there, done that and not too interested in doing it again. He's actually at the neighbor's now moving a mountain of manure. Maybe that'll be enough to get it out of his system. lol
