Cake Stacking Question

I am making a 12x18 sheet cake and want to stack a 9" round double layer cake on top in the center of the sheet cake. Do I need anything to stablilize the double layer cake?

Yes, you need to have a piece of cardboard underneath the 9" and have dowels in the sheet below where the 9" will sit, this explains A little better:
