Stumped. Blue Camouflage Moustache Cake
Decorating By beckyark Updated 1 Mar 2013 , 1:55am by Izzy Sweet
AI have a cake due on Sunday for a 9 year old girl. She couldn't decide between blue camouflage or moustashes so she decided she wanted both.
I am camo'ing the cake but I can't figure out how to tastefully incorporate the moustashes. I have a fancy moustashes cutter set. I honestly don't think she'll care too much what I do with them but I care to make it look nice!
Any thoughts?
Moustaches are in right now - temporary tattoos, little girls jewelry, etc. Just plaster them all over it.
I was thinking just one in the front, like it is the cake's mustache.
Is anyone else horrified by the mustache thing? It looked good on Tom Selak, and Sam Elliot(Yummo!) but most people look like pedos with one. If it is attached to a beard, or goatee, it is improved, but just barely.
Cover the cake in blue camo fondant letting the camo drap so it is a bit ruffled around the base, attach a ribbon around the centre of the cake (around the sides) then attach a bushy moustache to the ribbon instead of a bow, or cover the cake in blue camo and use the various moustache cut outs as a bottom border around the cake.

What? You don't like the 70's porn star look???
I would just do a big one as a topper, camo is already a busy pattern, I think mustaches all over it would look sort of messy.

I resemble that remark! And I've had the same mustache since my senior year of high school. Back then, my barber had to darken the thin spots. Now, it's turning gray.
Given that I'm gray around the mouth, does that make me an old dog?

My X husband has one, and I think he looks like a baby without it, lol. So, really it depends on the face ;-)
As a Roller Derby girl I have to say the moustache is very much loved in our sport. We always have moustache stick on tattoos on our fingers so we can at any time stick our finger up to our lip and have a moustache.
I would put try and make some of the camo pieces moustaches, like maybe all the blue or the white pieces.
