White Wedding Cake From Canterbury Village Bake Shop In Lake Orion Michigan

I found the BEST white cake at the Canterbury Village Bake Shop in Lake Orion, MI about 4 years ago for my daughters wedding. It was moist yet firm...almost reminded me of a WHITE pound cake. Absolutely delicious. However, when it was time to go back a year later for her 1 year anniversary, the baker was no longer at that shop and the new owners would not honor her 1 year free cake nor did they use the same recipe. The cake was pure white...I can't believe there were any egg yolks in it. If the person that owned that bakery is out there in Cake Central land...I would love to hear from you. Or if anyone has a white cake recipe that is on the dense side but very moist...I would love to try it.
She also had a great strawberry cream filling that was do die for. It was her own recipe. I wish I could remember her name...darn!
There is a white wedding/pound cake recipe in older Wilton books that uses only egg whites. This might be your first recipe to test.
I shall try and find that recipe and see if compares. Truly was the best white cake I have ever had.
No luck finding the recipe on the internet. Does anyone have the Wilton white pound cake recipe from one of their older books?
I would contact the city hall there or the Chamber of Commerce and try to to find out from them who the previous owners were and go from there. Just a thought.
