AI am having the hardest time making roses with no ridges in the petals! Please help. What am I doin wrong? I've made 3 batches of icing today. Pleas Please Please HELP!

Aaahhhhhhh another person who wants *perfection* :(

I cannot say often enough that I love, Love, LOVE when my roses turn out with cracking/ridges on the tips - that makes them so much more interesting/ real looking :)

What causes the tips of roses to crack:

1.) your icing is too stiff.  Add a bit more shortenint

2.) you are not turning your nail fast enough

3.) you are not squeezing hard enough

4) any combination of the above

5) stick a butter knife into the tip and rock it back & forth some to widen the thin end a bit

Exactly what Kakeladi says, plus doing them too fast, while not squeezing hard enough. And I use a steak knife, so it isn't misshapen while being stretched out.

Did it work out for you?

Just the opposite.

If you're turning it too slowly it will cause the petals to ruffle and build up on itself.  Too fast, and the petal edges can break and look jagged when the buttercream is too stiff or dry.

Anna articulated it perfectly, "doing them too fast while not squeezing hard enough", can definitely cause jagged edges.
