Hi guys,

I've been asked to make a Snffleupagus cake (seasame street) and not really sure where to start. Any ideas or tips? Its got to be a model of Snuffleupagus not just his face,

Wow!  What a toughie!  The only help I can be is to suggest you make a cake of him sitting, rather than standing.  Maybe start with a shape like a teddy bear, but make the arms and legs longer, and add a trunk?  It's going to involve a lot of carving no matter what you do. The obvious thing for decorating him is chocolate buttercream using the grass tip.  He's rather a bulgy shape so it should be quite forgiving.  The trunk would need to be wired to hold its shape.

Hopefully someone a bit more experienced can help!

AThat's what I was thinking. I'm a beginner at all these fancy cakes so tips, whether you're experienced or not are a great help. So thanks LizzieAylett!

AI would look up elephant cakes to see if there are any how-tos out there...
