Teacup & Saucer...

I made this teacup and saucer using fondant & gumpaste. I had to do it without a templet, so I pretty much winged it and as a result it is not straight. Could not find a tutorial online or directions for a templet...I'd like to try this again, but wanna do it the right way. If any of you have a tutorial or instructions, I'd sure appreciate it...Thank you!!!

Now, I didn't have a templet to follow for the teacup, so I had to wing it.. it's not exactly straight, but not too bad for my first try! Fondant/Gumpaste and hand painted using Wiltons luster dust and vodka.

I traced around a saucer, then set it on it to dry, then took small pieces of paper towels under it to lift the edges. Fondant/Gumpaste and hand painted using Wiltons luster dust and vodka.

I do pretty much the same thing as this tutorial, make-fabulous-cakes.com/gum-paste-teacup.html

(I hope I am allowed to post links, I should probably read up on that before I go writing them on posts, lol)

The doll pans work great, I actually bought one because of that link, the only thing I do differently is that I actually make saucers. I went to a thrift store and found an old saucer with frilly edges, and I just turn it upside down, press the gumpaste on top and trim around the edges.

There is an indent, but I just make the bottom of the cup fit into it.

Yes, I also used a saucer to make mine...Thanks so much for the tutorial! I'm sure with this, I can make a much better teacup in MUCH less time!!! Thanks!
