I am going to make a playroom-themed Number 1 Cake this weekend consisting of a car, a train, an airplane and a few building blocks for the boy's name. I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried using cake to make toppers? I.e. cake pop method. Will it work?
I have seen many people using rice krispies but I have searched high and low for rice krispies but couldn't find any. Thought of replacing it with a different type of cereal but those I see are cornflakes, honey stars and the like. My last resort would be to use fondant, but I'm trying to avoid that...
Any tips on this? :)
