Hello everyone I have this recipe for a French style buttercream only bummer is I wrote down the ingredients but not how to mix and handle it the recipe follows: 2/3 sugar 1/4 cup flour 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 milk 1 cup butter and 1 tsp vanilla? What is the step process? Please and thank you

there would be different methods
one way is to combine the flour, sugar and salt in a heave saucepan
then add the milk and cook till it's a thick paste stirring constantly
then cool completely and add softened butter and vanilla
you could do a search for 'french buttercream recipe' and get some other methods
avoid the ones with the egg yolks--just look for like ingredients

These are the same ingredients as for cooked frosting, just make sure the roux and the butter are room temperature before combining. Google cooked frosting, it's easy and tastes really nice
