International Wilton Distributors

Hi,

 

I am looking into starting up a new cake store in Australia. I love Wilton products but Wilton will not supply me directly they have instead directed me to their distributor.

 

Does anyone know where I could get the product from cheaper internationally as it can be quite pricey from here?

I would be very careful about trying to by-pass their Australian distributor. Importing product from overseas involves Federal Custom duties, clearance fees, customs duty, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other taxes, plus you home State's rules/regulations. As an AU business you have to provide your customers with statutory guarantees and warranties, which Wilton won't honour as you have bypassed their Australian distributor .. You would have legal issues which you would have to consider also ..
