I needed to do something FAST for a Valentine's day cake for my blog yesterday, looked around at what I had on hand, and came up with this:

A strawberry cake with cream cheese icing. very simple paper decorations and a sprinkle heart.

Scrapbook paper, skewers, and a glue gun.  It took about 5 minutes.  What do you do when you have to whip something up quickly and don't have time for fondant and gumpaste work?

I like it, but I think I like the styling of your picture even more.

How did you do the sprinkle heart on the side?  And love your "staging" for the picture!  Makes a world of difference - that's something I need to work on for my pictures. :-/
