Awesome! What is the process? Or, maybe you can point me in the right direction online. I'm moving to CA in the summer and would like to get my permit (from what I understand, there's an A and a B permit).

All counties in California have a health department, which has the relevant info for that county on their web site and explains how to apply for a cottage food license. An A permit is for retail sales (directly to customers) and the B permit is for wholesale. No inspection is needed for the A permit.
