Help, Sticky Food Coloring Painting Project.

I am making a fondant dragon and wanted to make it look like an antique statue. so what i did was paint it with food coloring w/ vodka. now my problem is that its sticky. now the cake its going on is a donation and i dont want it to stay sticky. can anyone help me fiqure out how to get it to dry.

Hey MommyForget,

     What type of fondant did you use? Also, why don't you want it to be sticky? Does it look sticky or just feel sticky? As long as it looks good, I bet no one will care that the fondant is sticky :)

i used the wiltons fondant to make the dragon. it feels sticky and my concern is that when the cake is given out whoever takes the dragon off the top of it will end up with the coloring on their hands. even if i could just prevent that would be helpful.
