AI recently bought a 5 gallon tube of bettercream icing from my local Sams club. I tried making swirls of cupcakes and they wouldn't come out. Does anyone have any good tips for decorating with bettercrean ?

Are you working with it chilled?

Yes its chilled from the freezer. I let it sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours before using.

Is it already whipped?  Or are you having to whip it up?

I use Frostin Pride which is basically the same thing by a different company.  I find it best NOT to defrost it in the frig, but to take it right out of the fzr and whip it up.  That way it is *CHILLED*! and if you don't use the whole carton it's not defrosted - you can put it back in the frz for another time.

I love working with bettercream.  It makes beautiful roses.   My consistancy from my tub is pretty stiff.
