Hello everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted buuuuuut I need some help!

My niece's birthday is this Saturday and she's in love with dance asking me for  a ballet cake.

So my question is how do I make fondant/gumpaste ballet slippers? When I google they just tell me to roll a ball of pink then shape it into a log and hollow out the center but for some reason in muy mind I'm worried about it being mis shapen :(

Can anyone offer some advice on how to go about this?

This is my first cake like this so I'd like to get it perfect!

Thanks so much!

Sara

There is a template in this thread, a few posts down on the 1st page. I've used it to make some ballet shoes and they're really cute. I used real satin ribbon on mine, not fondant ones. Good luck!
