Business loans are tough to get these days. Grants are virtually impossible to get unless you meet very specific requirements, e.g. you are doing certain types of scientific research or were impacted by a natural disaster.

A home-based food business will generally cost at least $1-2K to start if you can legally sell food from home or have access to a commercial kitchen you can rent. Most of the cost will be in ongoing operations, which you can build into your prices.
