What Do You Use For Metallic Silver Color On Piping?

I want to create a cake that has a pink fondant background with piped designs in metallic silver. What's the best product to get a true, shiny silver?
And do you just pipe with the royal icing, let dry, and paint on?
Thanks!
I have painted with a luster dust/vodka mix on royal icing on cookies so I assume you could do the same on a cake :) And yes, I let the icing dry before I painted
AI have heard if people mixing piping gel with luster dust but have never done it successfully.
If you decide to paint royal, I suggest using Americolor silver sheen airbrush color. I like not having to mix the luster dust to get the right consistency
Thanks for the recommendation Delicious Desserts. I haven't used airbrush color before (don't have an airbrush!), so I'll have to get my hands on a bottle and try it out.
Thanks Heather, I figured that would work. Do you remember what brand/type of luster dust you used? I'm still at the stage where I go online to buy dusts and get overwhelmed by the pearl/luster/highlighter/disco/petal and then some of them aren't really edible, but online it's not always clear.
