Just out of interest ........ has anyone made any Twilight Cakes .. the Twilight Saga?? I'm planning on making one for my SIL for her 30th and trying to decide how i'm gonna do it! I've got my edible printer coming this week, so I'm hoping I can use that for it. Was thinking of doing the books stacked up? Has anyone else got any ides??
If you go through the gallery and google it online I think you will see a lot of different ideas. That's where I got my idea. Spent the weekend with my daughter and granddaughter when the last one first came out. As we once lived in the that area (Forks, Port Angeles) I like the movies for the scenery. Have fun with it!
AOh wow there both really good!! Thanks for sharing them :). How did you do the chequered board? Did you just pieces the squares together or paint black squares? Silly question I know lol
For my checkerboard I just cut out squares in fondant and pieced them together. Be sure to post your cake when you have finished...would love to see it!
AThink ill invest in a square cutter if I can find one! Might be quicker and more accurate lol. Yes I will do, not doing it til next month (I got to plan really early seeing as I have 3 kids running round me!) but I'll def post a pic up! :). Thanks again!
oh, Cakechaser i didn't get a notification that you replied sorry! But that is fantastic!!! Bet she loved that! :)
Well I done my cake! Didn't go with my original plan of the books stacked, but I'm still happy with the way it turned out, and i got a couple of quotes in too from the film :) Can't wait for my sister in law to see it!
