Charcoal Gray Fondant

Hi,
How can I achieve my fondant to look charcoal gray? Using black gel coloring, I get a dull shade of gray. Is there a way for the fondant to look charcoal color?

Add more. It should get darker. Don't worry,...it takes a lot to get all the way to black.

Thanks! I am worried if I add too much, the fondant will taste bitter. I'll keep trying.
