Hi:

I just got a last minute cake request for tomorrow and they want a cake for 50-60 ppl.  It is for a friend of mine and they wanted it for a girl's 21st birthday.  They did not give me much detail, only that she loves lavender and they want it to show the 21 number.  Any ideas?  Also,  i would like to bake two tiers,  what should be the perfect pans? rounds 8 and 10 inches?  any advice really appreciated.

5-7-9 for 53 people would look nice. That's definitely what I would do for an amount like that. Or a 4-7-10 for 55 people. Flowers? Ribbons? Bows? Jewels? Sparkly stuff? How about something that represents her, which would involve asking the parents what her interests are.
