I am hoping that someone can give me some advice here.  I am making a two tiered cake--the bottom tier is an 8 inch round and the top is a 6 inch Mad Dadder Topsy Turvy round.  I am trying to make a teapot made out of RKT sit on top of it, like a picture I saw by someone named Rava.  She did a beautiful topsy turvy Sesame Street Tea Party cake.  The teapot is pretty heavy and I'm not sure how I'd go about keeping it atop the Topsy Turvy tier.  Do I dowel it and stick it through the tier, do I put additional dowel supports in the 6 inch like I would if another tier was sitting on top....would I do both?

I would appreciate any help I can get.  The cake is due in 2 days.

Thanks very much

I would do both.  Plus use a little melted chocolate to hold it down.
