Hi everyone! I'm very new at this. I am taking the wilton courses and have been doing pretty good at the whole cake thing. I want to make a sock moneky cake for my sons first birthday in August. I know it's early, but i need to practice first to decide if i am actually going to do this, lol. I was wondering how do you get the argyle look on the fondant? I found some images online, but not sure if i am allowed to upload here to show you all what i am talking about. But how would i get the argyle look to my fondant like that? Seriously, I need like step by step instructions. Can someone please help?!?!?

I have all of the Wilton molds in this line and love them. Just very lightly dust and go.

Do you mean an argyle sweater on the sick monkey? Or so you mean argyle on a tier? A photo would be helpful or a link to a photo of what you mean.

It's never "just cake!"
You may get a cake for $way to little but you won't get this cake!

Just cover the cake in the base colour. Cut out squares/diamonds in the second and third colour, stick them on. Then use an edible pen or paintbrush and edible paint (gel colour + vodka) and paint the little lies on.

I did this by cutting out green diamonds and attaching to the side of the cake, then with black royal icing, I piped the same sized diamonds but 'off set' to the green ones.
