I am still very much a newbie and I have alot to work on but I'm learning as I go. This is a cake that I did for my SIL's baby shower which was turtle and fish themed. It was a chocolate cake (4 layers on bottom tier, 3 on top) layered with chocolate buttercream and covered in vanilla buttercream. Accents made with a combo of marshmallow fondant and gumpaste. One thing I learned is that chocolate cake is much more crumbly than white cake! I didn't crumbcoat but I had to be extremely careful. I also should have separated the bottom tier with a cake circle because it was so tall. I think it turned out pretty good though and tasted great. Got lots of compliments. Now if I can start getting PAID for my work that would be fantastic lol! I will be doing my first paid cake in a couple weeks. ANY AND ALL suggestions are welcome!

Great job, it is very cute and it does not look like a first time cake at all.
