I completely understand! I've made some well in advance and flat packed them in ziplock bags before placing in a box or on a baking sheet for safe keeping with no trouble. Thanks for the compliment of my cakes, you have some neat work too!

Quietude,  Will the fondant decorations stay pliable if made a month or so ahead if sealed and protected like you explained?  Thanks

It's not too soon at all. I always make things well in advance, because I get too excited and can't wait to make decorations!

Sorry for the delayed response, I'm just seeing this message! For most cupcake toppers you want them to dry so they will hold their shape when placed on the icing. Once dry, I package them like this for storage until ready for use. If you would like for them to be pliable like for the kind of toppers that completely cover the top of the cupcake without (or without much icing on top) icing, I would wait. Hope this helps!
